Ragi Moonsamy’s extensive business experience and strong discipline has made him one of South Africa’s most dynamic business leaders and also one of our country’s most successful rags-to-riches stories. He has a significant track record of twenty years of consistent success which is underpinned with a sound financial understanding of business models. Since 1994, he has played a leading role in various empowerment initiatives, resulting in more than R5 billion worth of empowerment projects directed to more than forty thousand individuals.

His achievements can be attributed to his passion for life, family and the need to impact others positively. A particular strength is his ability to penetrate and communicate to grass-roots communities. Ragi has championed the need to address extreme poverty through business participation. He proudly hails from Athlone in the Cape, where he is a strong and powerful icon in his community. Ragi participates on, and contributes his business skills to, a number of Boards.
